Swine Flu

Most of you know we just recovered from the Swine Flu.  Baby girl is doing very well and didn't let the flu slow her down...you would've never known she was sick by looking at her!  Lyric's Gami came to see us last week and we are so fortunate she was able to stay and help with her.  Thank you Gami!

This is from one of many visits to the doctor

In honor of the Texas vs Tech game today, I've posted the pictures below for Uncle Jeremy.

New this week: I discovered Kid to Kid, a kids consignment shop.  I highly recommend all of you moms find one near you or to come visit us and we'll go to mine.  :)  I bought 8 outfits and a halloween costume for her for $22!! I tried her little fairy costume on right away and discovered it's nearly impossible to get off once it's over her head-I had to cut the strap in order to pull it off!!  No worries, though- I'll have a friend fix it and we are good to go!

We are having to learn to sleep through the night again, after being sick, so say your prayers for us!

Good morning!

The big thing this week is that we had to completely rearrange our living room because our little monkey never stops! She has already had a small bruise on her check, a scratch on her forward, and a mouth injury that made her gums bleed. (The last thing we need is to have the CPS called on us!)
So, what once was a coffee table is now an oversized end table and we had to pull one of our chairs over to block the other side of it. I also brought in her mini rocker so she can tackle and climb on something her own size-she isn't the only one...

Many falls from this table, but she just gets right back up again for more!
I deeply regret not having family portraits of all of us when she was a baby and then when she was about 6 months old (before she could crawl). I'm thinking of having a friend take some now and then I'll have professionals done for her 1st birthday, which seems to be creeping on us very quickly! Any volunteers?
Here is the latest attempt of mine to keep her still while I snap a picture of her. Her look says "I am simply tired of your shenanigans."

More time spent with Stassy and with herself in the mirror:

Also new this week: We bought Lyric a walker!!! She helped dad put it together, then we have another reminder of just how petite she really is...Her poor feet still don't touch the ground; not even with shoes!

Busted!
It's time to take her pretty net down.

Labor day weekend begins

We kick off this weekend with doctor visits for both Lyric and me. Same daycare routine I wish we could break...she gets sick and passes it on. Nothing serious, just typical congestion, runny nose, and cough; I think it bothers us more than her-Lyric is still her happy go lucky self as always. Nick and I are already looking forward to Christmas vacation, which means a couple of weeks break from daycare.

As everyone warned us, Lyric is E V E R Y W H E R E now that she can crawl!! We are amazed at how fast she can move and how intrigued she is by everything she lays her eyes on. Stassy is so good with her and I'll post some pictures of the two of them this weekend.

New this week: She has tried apple juice, cheerios, and has taken her first few steps holding onto furniture.  She weighs 16 lbs and is 25.5" long...and she still fits in her 3-6 month clothes

Hope you all have a great holiday weekend!
